Saturday, September 23rd; 5:00-7:00PM
Yoga 12-Step Recovery (Y12SR) with Heather

Y12SR is a 12-step based discussion and yoga practice open to anyone and everyone dealing with their own addictive behavior or affected by the addictive behavior of others. This is a open and inclusive group. All A’s are welcome. In this group we weave together the ancient wisdom of yoga and the practical tools of 12-step programs. We recognize that the “issues live in our tissues” and through our intentional, themed yoga practice, guided by our breath, we invoke the God of our understanding to help us release whatever is held. This group is in no way a replacement for 12-step meetings, a sponsor, or any other part of a 12-step recovery program. It is an adjunct providing what we believe is another helpful tool in addressing the physical, mental and spiritual dis-ease of addiction. Offered by donation. Suggested donation $10.

Location: Florida Rd Studio, 1485 Florida Rd., C-201

Yoga and Acupuncture for Stress & Anxiety

A Workshop with Michele Lawrence, C-IAYT, Megan Lott, M.S. LAc & Kelly Sheridan, M.S. LAc

Do you feel like you are in a perpetual state of low-grade stress?
Do you wish you could reset your response mechanisms? This workshop can help! This 3-hour session will include a talk about how acupuncture and yoga can alleviate stress, a gentle and restorative yoga practice designed to calm the nervous system and personalized accupunture to help you reset.

Practicing yoga can not only be an effective stress reliever, but also a way to ease symptoms of anxiety and depression. By transferring focus and attention to the body and breath, yoga can help to temper anxiety while also releasing physical tension.

The acupuncture offered in this workshop targets the specific parts of the brain that get trapped in fight or flight mechanism in response to chronic stress. Stimulating these regions of the brain helps create a shift to the parasympathetic state and allows you the opportunity to break out of the stress cycle you are stuck in. Come join us and offer yourself the opportunity to create a pathway for a more resilient and healthy response to the stressors in your life!

Cost: $65, space limited. Contact: Contact: 970-946-8961 or michelelawrence@yahoo.com. Register online.
